The Mission

Every knife enthusiast knows the struggle. You find a knife with incredible action, but the blade geometry isn’t quite right. Another has a perfect handle, but the pocket clip makes it sit too high. Some knives feel great in hand but are a pain to sharpen. Others have strong locks but require too much force to disengage.

At Kindred Edge, we were tired of compromises. So, we set out to design the knife that gets as close as possible to checking every box.

We aren’t claiming to have all the answers—we just know what we’ve always looked for in a knife but never quite found. So, we took our best shot at creating it. A solid, all-around performer with intuitive handling, smooth action, and a strong lockup. We wanted seamless deployment with tunable magnetic tension, a blade shape that balances slicing and durability, and modular scales so you can tailor the grip to your preference. We paid attention to the carry depth, the acoustics of the action, and even the handle flats for a natural feel in hand.

But we also know this knife won’t be perfect—no single design can be. This is our best take on what we always wanted to carry, and we’re excited to put it in the hands of the knife community. With your feedback, we hope to keep refining and improving, pushing this design even further.

This is Kindred Edge. This is the Meridian.
